What issues should be noted during the operation of glass lined reactor

  Glass lined reactor have become core equipment in industries such as chemical,pharmaceutical,and food due to their excellent corrosion resistance and good thermal stability.However,the brittle nature of its surface enamel layer also makes improper operation prone to faults such as porcelain explosion and detachment,leading to safety accidents or production interruptions.According to statistics,over 60%of glass lining equipment damage is caused by operational errors.
  1、Preparation before operation:Details determine success or failure
  1.Equipment inspection:Eliminate"operation with defects"
  Integrity of enamel layer:The enamel reactor is scanned with a high-voltage electric spark detector on the inner wall.If a blue arc is found,the equipment should be repaired or replaced immediately.
  Sealing condition:Check whether the mixing shaft seal is worn,whether the gasket at the flange connection is aged,and avoid leakage and corrosion of the enamel layer during operation.
  2.Medium compatibility:Avoid"chemical attacks"
  PH limit:Glass lined reactor have strong acid resistance but poor alkali resistance.
  Taboo:It is strictly prohibited to use glass lined equipment for strong alkali neutralization reactions or high-temperature alkali boiling cleaning.
  3.Mixing system calibration:prevent"mechanical damage"
  The standard gap between the stirring blade and the kettle body is 3-5mm.If the gap is too small,it is prone to collision and porcelain explosion,while if it is too large,it will reduce the mixing efficiency.
  Speed limit:Set the speed according to the viscosity of the material,and the speed should not exceed 80%of the design value to avoid centrifugal force causing blade deformation.

  No load test run:Run idle for 5 minutes before starting,confirm that there is no abnormal vibration or noise before feeding.

  2、In operation monitoring:real-time risk defense
  1.Temperature and pressure:Hold the safety red line
  Reaction temperature:Temperature control is achieved through jacket circulating water/thermal oil,and local overheating is strictly prohibited.
  Reaction pressure:The pressure resistance level of glass lined reactor is usually 0.6-1.0MPa.Overpressure operation can cause deformation or ceramic explosion of the reactor body.
  2.Mixing state:prevent"uneven grinding and jamming"
  Current monitoring:When the current fluctuation of the mixing motor exceeds±10%,there may be material agglomeration or blade wear,and the machine should be stopped immediately for inspection.
  Shaft seal leakage:When the mechanical seal leakage exceeds 5mL/h,it is necessary to adjust the spring compression or replace the seal;The sealing of the glass lined reactor packing should be regularly tightened.
  3.Changes in medium properties:Beware of"uncontrolled reactions"

  Monitoring of exothermic reactions:Strong exothermic reactions such as nitration and sulfonation require timely heat transfer through a cooling system to prevent temperature spikes from causing softening of the enamel layer.
